I don't know about you, but I can never get enough accent lighting. Lights are like accessories for your home. They can completely alter the look and feel of a space, just like a great statement necklace can do to a rather hum-drum outfit. I like to accessorize my home and even change things up every now and then! That's actually what I've been doing recently to my entryway.
I've been lamp hunting for the entry of my home. Does anyone know of good lamps sources? I've been checking Home Goods frequently in hopes to find a good deal on a pair of cuties to put on or around that little gold table in our entry way. So far the entry is in an unfinished state. I was thinking of getting a lamp or two, and a pair of matching chairs for either side of the ginormous wall. I also need artwork. I was contemplating a large scale piece with a picture light installed above it, but I digress...
As far as lighting is concerned, I was thinking of getting two brass or gold painted floor lamps to flank the entry table. I thought this was cute, but I want to find something I can put a black drum shade on...

Now, if I had my way -I'd drop some pretty pennies on two of these golden beauties to flank the entry table. These are from Layla Grace:

Now, I'm leaning towards something ceramic with a cute pattern. I think one of these would be cute! The would also really tie in the blue from the rug. I'm digging the funky geometric patterns.

Where have you found good deals on lamps? Any ideas for how I should style my entry? Your thoughts are always welcomed!
i am looking for small lamps for our night stands and i swear it's just driving me crazy!
ReplyDeleteAmy - Lamp hunting can be a real challenge, especially when you know exactly what you want and are trying to find it for decent price. I know Overstock.com sells many lamps in pairs. That's where we got ours for the bedroom. Good luck to you! =)
ReplyDeleteI love the bottom lamp, and the one with the black shade. I agree that your table (great find btw!) would look fabulous flanked by two brass/ gold tone lamps with black drum shades. Or maybe shades in dark chocolate, deep purple, or a more adventurous colour like orange or blue.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great! I've just started following.
Thanks Kim! That's great advice; I'll keep an eye out for drum shades in the bold colors your mentioned. I'm still on the hunt & will keep you posted!
